The service was really nice and helpful. It has a cute little rooftop along with good cocktails. A really nice spot to catch up with friends!

Rooftop bar in Hoboken is where it's at! Can't beat it on a warm summer day. The food looked good, but I come here for the ambiance and party!

City bistro is great place to hangout in uptown Hoboken - great service, nice ambience, good selection of beer, cocktails and food. Indoor is a bit dark but in summers they have front patio as well as rooftop seating. We went on a Saturday afternoon recently and sat on the rooftop. There are 2 sections on rooftop one with bar seating, benches and DJ station and other section in front with tables and a small bar. We sat in the front section, ordered few cocktails, beers and a pizza to share. Really enjoyed our time there.

Big fan of this place! Cute, casual, no muss, no fuss. I've generally come here without a reservation and usually get seated in the rooftop area, sometimes with just one friend and sometimes with a larger party. I've ordered a bunch of different dishes and drinks. The cuisine is casual American, and most of the items have been pretty solid. Service has been fine. No complaints and I will definitely be back!

I go to City Bistro often for drinks on the rooftop or downstairs bar, however, this was my first time ever having brunch here. City Bistro only takes reservations for indoor dining; outdoor seating is first come, first serve. Since I had a dog with me, we sat outside on the ground level under the shaded awning. I thought the staff and servers were very friendly and attentive the entire meal. They checked in on us often and did not rush us at all. One even asked to take a photo with my dog since he's a goofy looking pug. For food, I got the Johnny Sandwich with fries. My friend had the frittata and subbed out the Goat cheese for feta. We also got an order of the lemon ricotta pancakes since we wanted to try them (they don't offer a half portion sadly). I thought my sandwich was really good - the banana peppers taste so good on it. It could use a little more sauce to make the bread less dry. I had a side of honey mustard for my fries which I also put on the sandwich which helped with the dryness. My friend enjoyed her frittata although it's strange that most of the toppings were on top of the eggs, not baked into them. Finally, the lemon ricotta pancakes were awesome. They were the perfect balance of sweet and tartness. With the berries and cream on top, you don't even need to add syrup. Was a nice brunch!
